I’m a journalist and storyteller with experience across print, audio, video, and digital media.
Most recently, I was a Senior News Writer at Christianity Today, where I reported national and global stories focused on the evangelical church and issues important to the publication’s readership. I developed original stories through deep research, found distinctive angles on developing news and existing coverage, and collaborated with reporters and editors on enterprise projects and larger reporting efforts.
Before that, I worked across a wide range of journalism and audio production roles. I’ve covered breaking news, courts, crime, politics, education, and health, often working on tight deadlines and shifting between assignments.
My work has included reporting and production on major stories, including the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes. I helped prepare interview materials, conducted background research, and fact-checked Broken: Jeffrey Epstein, an Apple Podcasts series that charted on the platform.
At LNP | LancasterOnline, my reporting brought more than 1 million visitors to the website. I’ve also worked behind the scenes in editing, mixing, audio engineering, copy editing, fact-checking, script writing, pitching, and audience promotion.
I got my start in journalism in college, when I founded The Lynchburg Torch, an independent student news organization. I created the publication to give students access to reliable information about their campus and eventually directed a team of student journalists covering the city of Lynchburg.
And, yes, I once won a Virginia Press Association award for puns.

My background extends beyond the written word. I’ve worked in podcasting and audio production, including interviewing, scripting, editing, mixing, and engineering.
Story Development
Some of my favorite work happens before the story is written: finding the overlooked angle, developing a promising tip, researching a complicated subject, and figuring out why a story matters to an audience.
